Coming to Karlsruhe |
||||
| by plane |
You will (most probably) have a flight to Frankfurt or
Stuttgart. From there you can take a train to Karlsruhe central station. See below. Frankfurt Airport has two railway stations. Take the one for long distance trains (Fernbahnhof). |
|||
| by train |
Karlsruhe can be reached by long distance trains. You can use http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en to look for connections to Karlsruhe. |
|||
| by bus |
The main bus station is on the southern side of the central railway
station. Go straight through the building to the northern side and take a tram (or a taxi) from there. |
|||
| by car | Leave Autobahn A5 at exit Karlsruhe Durlach and follow the directions to the center of the town (Stadtmitte). | |||

| by tram |
Karlsruhe has a very good public transportation system. Please have a look at http://www.karlsruhe.de/KVV/download/lnp/lnpnetz.pdf which shows all trams lines. Important tram stops are

| on foot |
Hotel Am Markt and Hotel Hasen are both within walking
distance of the workshop site (10 to 15 minutes).
From Durlacher Tor to our university building you have to go
5 to 7 minutes to the north along the street
“Adenauerring” (a street with two lanes in each direction). |
|||
| by car | When coming from Autobahn exit “Karlsruhe Durlach”: When passing the second church (a red one) on the right hand side you are arriving at Durlacher Tor. At Durlacher Tor turn to the right and immediately take the middle lane (NOT the right one). After a few hundred meters you pass under a bridge across the Adenauerring. On the right hand side you can now already see the informatics building. After approx. 150 meters there's a traffic light. Turn to the right; there's a not so small car park. | |||
| The workshop is organized by Thomas Worsch. | ||||
