Publication began with volume 1 in ????, 1995, as the continuation of the earlier journal Computer Processing of Chinese and Oriental Languages (CPCOL): An International Journal of the Chinese Language Computer Society (CODEN CPCLE6, ISSN 0715-9048), which in turn began with volume 1, number 1 in July 1983, and terminated with volume 9 in 1995. There is little coverage here of that earlier journal. The journal has a World-Wide Web site at http://ejournals.wspc.com.sg/ijcpol/ijcpol.shtml
Data for the bibliography has been collected from the journal Web site and the OCLC Article1st database, with a half dozen additional entries collected from the Karlsruhe Computer Science bibliography archive. Numerous errors in the sources noted above have been corrected.
